A member-driven look into TWEC’s local solar generation
If you’re curious about how solar energy is produced at our Leaf River Substation, the Todd-Wadena Electric Cooperative’s (TWEC) Solar Insights – Member Task Force is your opportunity to take a closer look. This member group will monitor, learn, and share insights about TWEC’s solar production at our Leaf River Substation to support education, transparency, and engagement across our cooperative.
What the Task Force Does
Members of the Solar Insights team will help deepen our community’s understanding of local solar by participating in activities such as:
- Monitoring solar production data provided by TWEC
- Evaluating system performance and trends
- Reporting findings to the membership
- Helping members understand solar economics in rural Minnesota
- Serving as ambassadors for energy education
- Learning how solar fits into TWEC’s overall energy mix
- Seeing firsthand how local solar impacts your cooperative
Task Force Meetings
The Task Force will meet quarterly, either virtually and/or in person. Our first meeting will be held in person, and the date will be determined once the member task force is formed.
