As we gather with family and friends during this season of Thanksgiving, we are reminded of the blessings we share and the importance of caring for one another. We are proud to announce that our power supplier, Great River Energy, has generously donated $250,000 statewide to food shelves and locally $4,300 to the Wadena Food Shelf.
This gift will go directly toward meeting the growing need for food assistance in our community, ensuring that more of our neighbors can enjoy nourishing meals during the holidays and beyond. We are deeply grateful for this support, which reflects the true spirit of giving and community.
But the season of thanksgiving is about more than gratitude, it’s about action. We encourage everyone to consider different ways you can give back, such as donating to your local food shelf, volunteering your time to help neighbors in need, or sharing kindness in big and small ways.
