Student Scholarships

Unclaimed capital credits are used to provide scholarships for graduating high school seniors and non-traditional adult students. Information about our 2021 scholarships to come in December 2020.

Graduating Senior Scholarship

Todd-Wadena Electric Cooperative awarded  six (6) $1,000 scholarships to local graduating seniors for their first year as a (freshman) college student.

Kennedy is the daughter of John and Wendy Gravelle and attends Wadena-Deer Creek High School. After graduation, Kennedy plans to attend Northern State University and major in Biology.

Melissa is the daughter of Doug and Angela Hammer and attends Verndale Public School. After graduation, Melissa plans to attend the University of Minnesota Crookston and major in Agriculture Education.

Lucas is the son of Vince and Michelle Hinojos and attends Wadena-Deer Creek High School. After graduation, Lucas plans to attend Concordia College and major in Pre-Medicine/Biology.

Thomas is the son of Linus and Sherri Koval and attends Staples-Motley High School.
After graduation, Thomas plans to attend Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Wadena to major in Electrical Technology.

Benjamin is the son of Keith and Denise Olander and attended Staples-Motley High School. After graduation, Benjamin plans to attend the University of Minnesota Crookston and major in Ag Business and Agronomy.

Nicholas is the son of David and Tracey Treinen and attends Menahga High School. After graduation, Nicholas plans to attend North Dakota State University and major in Mechanical Engineering.

Power Up Non-Traditional Scholarship

Todd-Wadena Electric Cooperative awarded two (2) $1,000 scholarships to adult students who are headed to college for the first time, returning to complete an interrupted education, or looking to return to college to improve their career opportunities.

Erich Heppner of Staples was awarded one of the two (2) $1,000 Power UP Non-Traditional Scholarships. Erich will be attending St. Cloud State University for Higher Education Administration. Congratulations Erich and best wishes.

Matthew Lillis of Cushing was awarded one of the two (2) $1,000 Power UP Non-Traditional Scholarships. Matthew will be attending Central Lakes College for the Diesel Technician program.
